Trip Around the World

This is a very nice game for kids and you can improve it according to the level of the group.

Divide the students into two or more groups. Tell them they're going to travel around the world, but before they'll have to find out the correct order of the countries they will visit.
Prepare tips with pictures related to the countries and spread around the school. The first tip you can give to them or hide in the classroom. When they find the tip, they'll have to search for the name of the country.

Remember them that they can only get the pictures in the correct order, otherwise they'll have to take it back to its place and they'll lose some time.

The first group that completes the trip is the winner!

Ice - breakers

These are funny Ice-Breakers to use before your classes. They're perfect for new groups.

HOT SEAT

Ask students to make a circle with their chairs. Set one of the chairs to be the Hot Seat. The student who seats in the hot seat has to say a true sentence about himself. For example: "My name is ... and I have blue eyes." All the other students that think the sentence is true have to stand up and change seats, including the student who was in the hot seat.

The next student who takes place in the hot seat has to say a sentence again.

HOW WAS YOUR WEEKEND?

How many times have your students answered this question already?
Well, I bet none this way!!

Write different names of famous people in pieces of paper. Ask students to pick up a name, but not show their friends. They'll have to answer each other how was their weekends, but pretending they're the person on the paper.

It becomes more interesting if you ask them to guess who their friends are. The one who guesses more may win some prize.

ADJECTIVE ACTING

This one goes well to groups that have just learned adjectives.
Divide them in teams and ask for a leader from each team.

The leaders go to the front and mime the adjectives you choose. You can start with easy ones, such as happy, cold, hot, and then make it more difficult.

I'll be back soon with more ideas!! ;]

Tricky Treasure Hunt

This Treasure Hunt is different from the ones you're used to play.

In this game you can choose any subject to play with and spread objects or pictures around the class or the school. Divide the class in teams and, in a separated sheet of paper, write from 5 to 10 words that the students must collect. You can choose words that begin with the same letter, school objects, objects with same color, a special theme, like halloween, easter, christmas, etc.
Don't tell them the group you chose. Show them just after they collect the pictures. The team with the most correct pictures is the winner.

Halloween Indoor Games

The most exciting part of the Halloween parties is the Game Time!! I have here some tips for you, games that can be played indoors, in the classes or in the school party.

Witch Pitch

This is a very easy game, can be played by kids. The kids have to throw the balls inside of the cauldrons. The higher the points, higher the number of candies they get.

Ghost Bowling

This game requires more preparation and specific materials, but still is easy to do with kids. The number of target can be raised or reduced, depending on the students' profile. The idea of making the ball a pumpkin is very nice too!!

Witch Hat Toss

This is a simple game and the hats can be made of cardboard, but of course they can be bought too. It would be funnier if the hats were in different sizes, so the level would be higher. The kids can use hoops made by themselves, using paperboard.

Apple Bobbing Game

This is one of the most popular Halloween games, but I think it's better to be played by teenagers or adults. They should pick the apples from the water using only the teeth. You can make it harder by using a fork between the teeth.

Of course you can change or add any rules you want!!

Enjoy and Happy Halloween!!
